We are so excited to share that—just in time for Easter—we’ll be launching Saturday services! Twice a month, we’ll gather for worship with those whose work schedules make Sunday mornings difficult.
Our heart is to allow for everyone to worship, grow, and stay connected to the body of Christ—no matter their schedule. We can’t wait to gather together and see what God will do through this new opportunity!
NYU Argentinian-Romanian-American student, Andrea, is determined to explore her Argentinian roots despite her mom's reluctance to discover her own deep connection to Los Desaparecidos and Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo. Who is Andrea's real Abuela: Clara, who disappeared in Buenos Aires during the Military Junta, or Beatriz, who raised Andrea's mother, Mariana? Andrea's father, Bogdan, an immigrant who escaped a dictatorship that persecuted gay people in Romania, is on Andrea's side. Bloodlines and lifelines collide and intersect in this story about 4 generations of women and their role in shaping histories/her-stories.
The ability to write songs that are both modern and ancient is a rare thing. The Black Feathers, made up of Ray Hughes and Sian Chandler, are two such talents, a husband-wife duo who weave in traditional influences so thoroughly that they become the warp and weft of fresh creations. Americana, Folk, and Acoustic Indie Rock sensibilities coexist comfortably in their musical world, with Hughes’ guitar work buoying the kind of harmonies often only heard in family bands. Their music quickly draws the interest of listeners, but it is the stage chemistry that will keep them listening. Having already built up a loyal following in the UK, The Black Feathers have been spreading their wings across the US. They have performed at Philadelphia Folk Festival, Kate Wolf Music Festival, and AmericanaFest, and have also been awarded official showcases at the International, North East Regional and Far-West Folk Alliance conferences.
"Intimate Apparel" is the story of Esther Mills, an African American seamstress in turn-of-the-century New York City, who creates exquisite lingerie for women from all walks of life. As she carefully stitches together garments—and relationships—Esther dreams of love, independence, and a future beyond the confines of her world. But in a society bound by class, race, and expectation, even the most intimate connections carry unexpected risks. A subtle, deeply moving drama, spend the evening exploring longing, resilience, and the fragile threads that bind us together.

Geometric Abstraction Mauro Marinelli, Michael George and co-creator Laura Dale George.
Mauro Marinelli became a Photographer because he couldn’t draw, not a lick. The camera allowed him access to a life in art. But he still had this undeniable urge to paint. While living in NYC he frequented MOMA almost weekly. There was one grand room or space with pale grey walls that he had often rushed through. On one occasion, on one fated day, he paused, and stopped in the THAT room. And was granted his wish to paint. The room of Malevich, Mondrian & Theo Von Doesburg. They spoke to him. They touched him with the awakening stick of enlightenment.
Ceramic artists Michael and Laura Dale George are thrilled to announce their work will be exhibited in "Geometric Abstractions" at the Gallery at South Hill. Together for eight years, this is their first collaboration on a full series of pieces, which explores the interplay of mathematical precision and the organic implications of clay worked by human hands. The work invites you to search for symmetries and emergent patterns in the handmade interlocking geometrics. Pieces on display explore the themes of vulnerability and guardedness, and draw inspiration from kusudama, platonic solids, Celtic knotwork and ancient armor.
